Vintage Mid-Century Fabric – Kimono Silk – mushroom w/ teeny dark grey flowers

  • Country/Region of Manufacture: Japan

8 in stock

SKU: KIMMUSH Categories: ,

This roll of haori kimono silk (called a ‘tan’) is an earthy mushroom color with teeny allover flowers printed on a woven “sayagata” ground. Sayagata is an ancient design of interlocking key fret patterns that symbolizes good luck and virtue.

Lovely, soft, vintage silk, possibly from the 1950s, in excellent condition  – from a new bolt (what’s called “deadstock” – a bolt that’s never been touched so is a ‘new’ bolt, even though it’s vintage).

14.25” wide, price is per yard, 8 yards available.
