Pure linen with a lovely digital print design in Asian brush-painting style, of lotus flowers with darting kingfisher birds (whose famous brilliant blue feathers was used to make headdresses for Empresses!).
This is a wonderful option for light summer clothes! Lovely as a blazer (with some interfacing), or as a shirt for men’s wear, or almost anything for women’s wear – this would be equally nice as a tailored shirt dress or flowing palazzo pants! Nice light weight, with soft hand and nice drape. Semi-sheer.
Note that while the print is forgiving, it is technically directional and runs from selvedge to selvedge – NOT up the length. But it is quite subtle and it is unlikely anyone will notice if you go a different way.
