Description
This is a wonderful printed cotton dobby (note the fabulous texturing in the close-up photo!) in a lovely dark denim blue with a tan all-over print of a very traditional Japanese design, done to look like sashiko embroidery. So gorgeous!
Curious about the design?
“Shippou is a pattern of interlocking circles. It’s based on the seven Treasures of Buddhism: gold, silver, lapis lazuli, agate, seashell, amber and coral which each represent a quality Buddhists strive to uphold.” (from the Duende By Madam Zozo blog – ebay won’t allow me to include the link here). The 7 Treasures represent the seven powers of faith, perseverance, sense of shame, avoidance of wrongdoing, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom.
This is perfect for dresses, shirts, quilts, home dec, little bags, and more! Soft, with great drape and that lovely dobby texture.
From Japan. 43″ Wide. 100% Cotton. Price is per yard.
No returns accepted. Colors may vary by monitor. If you need precise color or texture, please order a swatch (look in our shop for the Swatch item for terms and ordering info).
SHIPPING NOTE: We charge a flat $5 fee PER ORDER in our eBay shop. It has come to our attention that eBay’s algorithm applies that inconsistently. If you are charged more than that, just check out as normal and PM us and we will refund any overcharge.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING NOTE: WE ONLY CHARGE YOU THE ACTUAL COST OF THE SHIPPING!! Ebay is not calculating this correctly, so we have put in a flat fee, BUT WE WILL REFUND YOU THE DIFFERENCE, OR BILL YOU FOR THE OVERAGE! Please contact us if you have any questions, and YES, we do combine shipping if you purchase more than one item!!
