Description
This
is a gorgeous fukuro obi (a kind of obi in which the parts of the obi that will be hidden in wear are made of a thinner, lighter, plain silk) in silver with an elegant, almost modern, design of patterned waves on silver, with red & gold.
This vintage piece has some age patina, creasing, and some marks or discoloration, but it is in excellent condition and would be suitable for wear or use as a decorative hanging.
What
to do with this other than wrapping it around your kimono? You can drape it on

wide, 164″ long. Silk. Decorated part is about 120″ total (a length of 103″, then plain silk, then another 17″ of fancy silk at the end.)
