Description
Kantha cloth from India is known for its beautiful hand-made piecework. This piece features irregular squares of silk, mostly in shades of gray and dark brown, eggplant, and black, accented with bright flashes in red, blue, aqua, pink, and gold, all sewn together in a patchwork, layered with a cotton backing, and then hand stitched in long rows of running stitch. This is beautiful in jackets/coats, or as bags, pillows, pieced in throw blankets, appliqued on jeans, and so much more!!
There are a few missed/broken stitches and some flaws (one is shown in the backside photo), this is very normal with this fabric and should not be considered a defect. No discounting or returns for this will be accepted.
This piece is finished on 3 sides, and is 42″ x 44″.
