Beautiful embroidered trim from India featuring Kutchi mirror-work – little tiny mirrored surfaces (NOT breakable glass) are embroidered into the trim so that it sparkles and subtly flashes as it moves. This would be really cute trimmed on a denim jacket, pajama-style pants, casual skirt, etc.
Black cotton base, embroidery is probably cotton too. The plain cotton on either side of the embroidery makes it very easy to sew on to garments, tote bags, cushions, curtains, tableware, etc.
We do recommend ensuring the trim is color set before using – simply fill the sink with lukewarm water, add a generous splash of white vinegar, add the trim and swish a bit to make sure all of trim is saturated. Let sit for 15-30 minutes, drain sink and rinse trim in cool water until water runs clear. Air dry and use.
SOLD BY THE PIECE – each piece is about 5 yards long. We cannot cut pieces.
Trim is about 3″ wide.
There are 2 kinds – almost identical, but not quite. One has 2 colors of fill inside the shape outline (“With Center Fill”) and the other has only one color (“Without Center”). The design of the 2 items is the same, and the colors are nearly identical.
This is a handmade item, and as such some unevenness in the work or slight variation is a normal part of this item and is not a flaw. No returns will be accepted for this.
