This is such a unique fabric! Dark red silk shantung (the smooth one, dupioni is the textured one) with an elegant Asian-style toile painted in black. Subtle, but SO chic and fabulous and high-fashion!!! Soft, slightly crisp hand, and drape that stands out from the body (washing will make it much limper and flater). Wonderful for skirts & dresses, bodices, shirts and tunics, men’s vests and blazers (with interfacing), dusters and kimono, etc.
