Stunning silk, that’s eco-friendly to boot! Sari waste (the long lengths of silk threads that are trimmed off lengths of sari fabrics) are then woven with metallic gold thread, resulting in a very nubbly textured fabric with thick silk threads in the weft (the side to side threads). I’ve lusted after this kind of fabric for years! It makes such wonderful jackets – very striking! Also good for skirts, dresses, tunics, and more!
These fabrics are not all created equally, and this one is better than most in that it is quite soft and fine without any sharp bits of plant stalk that you often find in these fabrics.
48″ wide. 70% Silk, 15% Metallic, remaining 15% unknown – the mill tag was torn in transit and the mill didn’t make a record of what they sent me *facepalm*, probably cotton. Price for the WHOLE LAST PIECE – 2.39 YARDS!
No returns accepted. Colors may vary by monitor. If you need precise color or texture, please order a swatch (look in our shop for the Swatch item for terms and ordering info).
SHIPPING NOTE: We charge a flat $5 fee PER ORDER in our eBay shop. It has come to our attention that eBay’s algorithm applies that inconsistently. If you are charged more than that, just check out as normal and PM us and we will refund any overcharge.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING NOTE: WE ONLY CHARGE YOU THE ACTUAL COST OF THE SHIPPING!! Ebay is not calculating this correctly, so we have put in a flat fee, BUT WE WILL REFUND YOU THE DIFFERENCE, OR BILL YOU FOR THE OVERAGE! Please contact us if you have any questions, and YES, we do combine shipping if you purchase more than one item!!
