This is a wonderful printed cotton shirting featuring Tale of Genji-themed Japanese ‘karuta’ cards on a black ground with gray wave lines and metallic gold sakura flowers. Karuta is a Japanese reading game, so the cards feature pretty illustrations with characters in both hiragana and kanji, both printed and in calligraphy.
This is perfect for dresses, shirts, quilts, home dec, little bags, and more! Soft, but sturdy, with great drape.
