This is such a unique fabric! Black dupioni (the lightly textured one, shantung is the smooth one) with elegant stalks of bamboo in gray, selectively outlined in metallic silver couched embroidery with accent details in black embroidery. Elegant, so chic and fabulous and high-fashion!!! Soft, slightly crisp hand, and drape that stands out from the body (washing will make it much limper and flatter). Wonderful for skirts & dresses, bodices, shirts and tunics, men’s vests and blazers (with interfacing), dusters and kimono, etc.
Bamboo runs upright parallel to the selvedge.
